Cetol® SRD (siding, roofs, and decks) is a translucent exterior stain specially formulated to provide a water repellent finish for shingles, other types of woods, and areas of a home such as decks and hand rails.  Its superior protective finish has wonderful color retention and wood preservation.  Cetol® SRD uses finely ground transparent pigments of iron oxide creating a protective layer in a natural uniform color.  Its nearly impregnable against moisture and UV damage which will give your home a natural back to nature look.

This type of finish is used on gable ends of log homes when applied on the shingles.  It is also covering lots of log homes.  More and more people are liking and enjoying this look for any home.    Its not used just in the country or backwoods anymore.  People are putting this on homes in the cities and suburbs. This is are most popular finish.  Just one coat now and a maintenance coat in 4 or 5 years or when needed.

If you use the SRD on decks or roofs it will need to be recoated every 3 years.
